Aaliyah Haughton was famous after 1994 when she debuted her debut album Age Ain't Nothing but an amount. The album came out as Gold at the age of fifteen years old. The group's collaboration heavily influential to R. Kelly's music, brought her into the spotlight. In the year 1996 Jermaine and Timbaland made Aaliyah's album One In A Million. It contained If You Girls Only Knew the top-selling single. After the debut of the album Aaliyah gained international attention for her work as an R&B artist. In 2000 she starred in the romantic action movie Romeo Must Die alongside martial artists Jet-Li. Joel Silver, film producer and director of Romeo Must Die, spotted her at an award ceremony. In 2002 she had the opportunity to play the horror film Queen of the Damned which was inspired by the Anne Rice novel. The Matrix Sequels saw her play Zee, after appearing as a character in The Matrix Reloaded (2003) as well as The Matrix Revolutions that same year. Aarti has both Aarti Majumdar and Aarti Munn as her professional names. Though she started her career by playing minor film and television parts, her acting career started to gain momentum in the mid-2000s. She has also appeared in Leverage, Suits, Grey's Anatomy as well as Grey's Anatomy. The actress has been featured in commercials for big brands like international car manufacturer Volvo. She is currently working on her acting career with her home in Los Angeles, where she lives with her husband and daughter.
