Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine has a unique style which combines R&B with soul, gospel music, and R&B. Sunshine has appeared on Broadway, during the Democratic National Convention and in European festivals and clubs. Sunshine can be described as Denise White. Her birthplace is Chester Pennsylvania, where she started her musical career by playing the piano and singing in the church. In Atlanta she was a student at Spellman College where her musical training began on the Atlanta's R&B Scene. Jennifer Holliday, who won Tony and Grammy Awards for her singing and her music, invited Sunshine to sing in the Dreamgirls production during the Atlanta's National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine received national attention for 4 performances a day during the Democratic National Convention in 2008. She was invited to perform as part of the inauguration of President Obama in 2009.
